Post-Treatment
Minimal Downtime
One of the many benefits of JUVÉDERM® is the minimal downtime involved after your treatment. For the first 24 hours following your procedure, you should avoid strenuous exercise, excessive sun or heat exposure, and consumption of alcoholic beverages. These simple precautions will help minimize temporary injection-related reactions such as redness, itching at the treatment site, pain, firmness, swelling, and bumps.
Studies have shown that these reactions are usually mild to moderate in nature and clear up on their own in 7 days or less. If you experience swelling at the injection site, you can apply an ice pack for a brief period. Your cosmetic doctor will tell you when makeup may be applied after your wrinkle treatments.
If you have any questions or concerns about your JUVÉDERM® treatment, please contact your cosmetic doctor.
Seeing the Results
After a JUVÉDERM® treatment, you should see an immediate facial improvement. Each person is unique, of course, which means that results for every individual may be different. Usually a single treatment can give you the look you want, but supplemental "touch-up" treatments may be required to maintain optimal results.
The benefits of JUVÉDERM® are clinically proven to last up to one year with one treatment.1 If you're considering JUVÉDERM®, you'll want to find a cosmetic doctor who is an experienced injector. Click here to find an cosmetic doctor near you.
