Pre-Treatment
Before your appointment: It is recommended that you avoid any medications that can prolong bleeding, such as aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS), for at least a week prior to treatment. This will reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding at the injection site.
When you arrive: If this is your first visit, your cosmetic doctor will ask about your medical history, including any allergies you may have or medications you may be taking, and will tell you more about your JUVÉDERM® treatment. Unlike animal-derived collagen filler injections, JUVÉDERM® does not require an allergy test.
Determining your treatment needs: Your cosmetic doctor will examine your skin to assess the depth of wrinkles and folds in order to determine your treatment. They may even take pre-treatment photographs so you can see the difference after treatment.
