JUVÉDERM® offers a collection of six hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, indicated to treat different areas of the face. Each product adds volume to help achieve your unique aesthetic goals.

With optimal treatment, results can last 1-2 years depending on the JUVÉDERM® product used and area treated.

The JUVÉDERM® Collection of Fillers has products that are Health Canada approved to temporarily add volume to different areas of the face: the cheeks, chin, smile lines, lips, undereyes, and jawline.

Is JUVÉDERM® authorized by Health Canada? JUVÉDERM® fillers are authorized by health Canada and have been widely studied.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance in the skin that delivers nutrients and helps the skin retain moisture and softness. Each JUVÉDERM® filler is made from a modified form of HA.

Pricing varies based on the JUVÉDERM® product used for your treatment, the amount of product used to achieve your aesthetic goals, as well as by provider.

JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA is a hyaluronic acid injectable that can restore volume of the face (i.e. cheek, chin and malar area).

JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® provides natural-looking and long-lasting results thatlast up to 2 years with optimal treatment.

It is injected into the cheek area using a small needle or cannula, adding volume for lift and contour.

Potential side effects include redness, swelling, pain on pressure, itching, nodules or lumps, bruising, and discoloration at the injection site, typically resolving within a week. Rare but serious side effects may occur, such as vision changes, stroke, or skin necrosis. Report any side effects lasting more than a week to your healthcare provider.

JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA is a hyaluronic acid injectable that can restore volume of the face (i.e. cheek, chin and malar area).

Juvéderm® VOLUMA® provides results in the chin that can last up to 1 year with optimal treatment.

Juvéderm® VOLUMA® is injected into the chin area using a small needle or cannula to increase chin projection. It temporarily adds volume to the chin area and results in improved chin shape.

Potential side effects include redness, swelling, pain on pressure, itching, nodules or lumps, bruising, and discoloration at the injection site, typically resolving within a week. JUVÉDERM® VOLIFT is a hyaluronic acid injectable that can treat nasolabial folds.

JUVÉDERM® VOLIFT® provides results in the smile lines that can last up to 18 months with optimal treatment.

JUVÉDERM® VOLIFT® is injected into the area of the face where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur using a small needle for temporary smoothing and correction.

Potential side effects include redness, swelling, pain on pressure, itching, nodules or lumps, bruising, and discoloration at the injection site, typically resolving within a week. Rare but serious side effects may occur, such as vision changes, stroke, or skin necrosis. Report any side effects lasting more than a week to your healthcare provider.

JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS XC is a hyaluronic acid injectable that can fill mid and/or deep depressions of the skin, as well as for can define and enhance lips.

JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS XC provides results in the smile lines that can last up to 1 year with optimal treatment.

JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS XC is injected into the area of the face where moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds occur using a small needle for temporary smoothing.

Potential side effects include redness, swelling, pain on pressure, itching, nodules or lumps, bruising, and discoloration at the injection site, typically resolving within a week. Rare but serious side effects may occur, such as vision changes, stroke, or skin necrosis. Report any side effects lasting more than a week to your healthcare provider.

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA is a hyaluronic acid injectable that can enhance pouting of the lips to correct volume loss, treat perioral lines and oral commissures, and can correct infraorbital skin depressions.

With optimal treatment, results in the lips with JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® can last up to 1 year.

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® is injected into the lips for augmentation and correction of perioral lines, often called lipstick lines, vertical lip lines, or lip wrinkles.

Potential side effects include redness, swelling, pain on pressure, itching, nodules or lumps, bruising, and discoloration at the injection site, typically resolving within a week. Injection in the lips or under-eye area may cause more swelling and bruising. Rare but serious side effects may occur, such as vision changes, stroke, or skin necrosis. Report any side effects lasting more than a week to your healthcare provider.

JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC a hyaluronic acid injectable that can fill any medium-sized depressions of the skin, as well as can define lips.

With optimal treatment, results in the lips with JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC can last up to 1 year.

JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC is injected into the lips using a small needle to temporarily add fullness and plump lips.

Potential side effects include redness, swelling, pain on pressure, itching, nodules or lumps, bruising, and discoloration at the injection site, typically resolving within a week. Rare but serious side effects may occur, such as vision changes, stroke, or skin necrosis. Report any side effects lasting more than a week to your healthcare provider.

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX is a hyaluronic acid injectable that can restore and create volume of the face in the chin and jaw areas.

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX® provides results in the jawline that can last up to 18 months with optimal treatment.

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX® is injected into the jaw with a small needle or cannula to add volume for augmentation of the shape and structure of the lower face, resulting in improved jawline definition.

Potential side effects include redness, swelling, pain on pressure, itching, nodules or lumps, bruising, and discoloration at the injection site, typically resolving within a week. Rare but serious side effects may occur, such as vision changes, stroke, or skin necrosis. Report any side effects lasting more than a week to your healthcare provider.

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA is a hyaluronic acid injectable that can enhance pouting of the lips to correct volume loss, treat perioral lines and oral commissures, and can correct infraorbital skin depressions.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION

Do not use these products if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), if you are allergic to lidocaine or the gram-positive bacterial proteins used in these products, or if you have had previous allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid fillers.

APPROVED USES

JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA with Lidocaine is an injectable implant intended to restore volume of the face (i.e. cheek, chin and malar area). Do not inject more than 2 mL per treatment area during each session.

JUVÉDERM® VOLUX is an injectable implant intended to restore and create volume of the face in the chin and jaw areas. The maximum volume that may be injected is 4 mL for initial and top-up treatments combined and 4 mL for repeat treatment.

JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA is an injectable gel implant intended for enhancement and pouting of the lips to correct volume loss via lips mucosa injection, to treat perioral lines and oral commissures via superficial or mid-dermis injection, and to correct infraorbital skin depressions via deep (submuscular / pre-periosteal) injection, by an authorized medical practitioner.

JUVÉDERM® VOLIFT with Lidocaine is an injectable implant intended for the treatment of nasolabial folds.

JUVÉDERM® ULTRA XC is an injectable implant used for filling any medium-sized depressions of the skin via mid-dermis injection, as well as for lip definition.

JUVÉDERM® ULTRA PLUS XC is an injectable implant used for filling mid and/or deep depressions of the skin via mid and/or deep dermis injection, as well as for lip definition and enhancement.

JUVÉDERM® Injectable Gel Fillers Important Information

Are there any reasons why I should not receive any JUVÉDERM® formulation?

Do not use these products if you have a history of multiple severe allergies or severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), if you are allergic to lidocaine or the Gram-positive bacterial proteins used in these products, or if you have had previous allergic reactions to hyaluronic acid fillers.

What warnings should my doctor advise me about?

  • One of the risks with using dermal fillers is the unintentional injection into a blood vessel. The chances of this happening are very small, but if it does happen, the complications can be serious and may be permanent. These complications, which have been reported for facial injections, can include vision abnormalities, blindness, stroke, temporary scabs, or permanent scarring of the skin. Most of these events are irreversible.
  • If you have changes in your vision, signs of a stroke (including sudden difficulty speaking, numbness or weakness in your face, arms or legs, difficulty walking, face drooping, severe headache, dizziness, or confusion), white appearance of the skin, or unusual pain during or shortly after treatment, you should notify your health care practitioner immediately.
  • The use of dermal fillers where skin sores, pimples, rashes, hives, cysts, or infections are present should be postponed, as this may delay healing or make skin problems worse.
  • The effectiveness of removal of any dermal filler has not been studied.

What are possible side effects of treatment?

The most commonly reported side effects with JUVÉDERM® injectable gels were redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, firmness, lumps/bumps, bruising, discoloration, and itching.

These side effects are consistent with other facial injection procedures and most will resolve within 30 days. Your doctor may choose to treat side effects persisting longer with antibiotics, steroids, or hyaluronidase (an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid).

As with all skin injection procedures, there is a risk of infection.

What precautions should my doctor advise me about?

  • JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® should only be injected into undereye hollows by doctors who have completed the necessary training for this treatment area. To find a doctor, visit Juvederm.ca/find-a-provider.
  • The safety of these products for use during pregnancy or while breastfeeding has not been studied
  • If you have a history of excessive scarring (thick, hard scars) or pigmentation disorders, treatment in these patients has not been studied and may result in additional scars or changes in pigmentation
  • If you are planning other procedures including laser treatments or a chemical peel, there is a possible risk of inflammation at the treatment site if these procedures are performed closely before or after JUVÉDERM® injectable gel treatment
  • Tell your doctor if you are on therapy used to reduce your body’s natural defense system (such as steroids, chemotherapy, and medicines to treat autoimmune diseases, HIV, and AIDs), as these may increase your risk of infection; and medications that can prolong bleeding (such as aspirin, ibuprofen, or other blood thinners), as these may result in increased bruising or bleeding at the injection site.
  • Avoid applying makeup for 12 hours after treatment and minimize strenuous exercise, exposure to extensive sun or heat, and alcoholic beverages within the first 24 hours following treatment, as these may cause temporary redness, swelling, and/or itching at the injection site
  • Tell your doctor if you have already been injected with dermal fillers in the same area as the one(s) you are about to be treated for. This information helps your doctor decide when and whether you should get treatment.
